Registration & Fee

Full registration fee includes Attendee Gift, Monday Awards Banquet, Breakfast & Lunch for Tuesday, Wednesday and Breakfast only on Thursday.

Certificate of Course Completion and Attendance

Certificates of completion will be provided to participants that attend all sessions. You must be in attendance at the close of the last session to receive a certificate of completion.


Food

All food for the conference will be prepared by the Park Place Hotel. If you have any allergies or questions, please contact one of the CPAM Board Members.


Breakfast will be served:

Conference Dress

Conference dress is business casual. The Awards Banquet is business formal – jacket (optional) shirt and tie or nice polo for men and dress slacks, nice pants suit or dress for women. Please also consider that the classrooms sometimes may be cold, you may want to bring a sweater or light jacket. 

The Fitness Center – Indoor Pool area

Attendees are welcome to use the fitness center and indoor pool.

Harry Dolan, Chief of Police (Ret.)

Harry P. Dolan is a 32-year police veteran who served as a Chief of Police since 1987. As one of the nation's most experienced police chiefs, he brings 25 years of public safety executive experience to Dolan Consulting Group. He retired in October 2012 as Chief of Police of the Raleigh (N.C.) Police Department, an agency comprised of nearly 900 employees in America's 42nd largest city. Harry Dolan has lectured throughout the United States and has trained thousands of public safety professionals in the fields of Leadership & Management, Communications Skills, and Community Policing. Past participants have consistently described Chief Dolan's presentations as career changing, characterized by his sense of humor and unique ability to maintain participants' interest throughout his training sessions. Chief Dolan's demonstrated ability to connect with his clientele and deliver insightful instruction all with uncompromising principles will be of tremendous value in the private sector.  Chief Dolan's passion to achieve service-excellence is a driving force behind Dolan Consulting Group. He is a graduate of Western Carolina University and holds a Master's Degree in Organizational Leadership and Management from the University of North Carolina at Pembroke.

Michael Maycroft, Deputy Chief

Deputy Chief Michael Maycroft is a 29-year veteran of law enforcement. He is currently the Deputy Police Chief for the Grand Rapids Police Department. In addition, he oversees the Crime Prevention Unit at GRPD. He is the lead instructor for the Michigan Commission on Law Enforcement Standards (MCOLES) section regarding “Explosive Devices” for the Grand Rapids Community College, Grand Valley State University, and Ferris State University Police Academies. He has conducted numerous trainings throughout West Michigan for police, fire, and civilians in regard to explosive threats and bomb response guidelines and procedures. He holds a master’s degree from Ferris State University, and an undergraduate degree from Lake Superior State University. He is also a graduate of the 272nd session of the FBI National Academy.

Jennifer Kalczuk, Public Information Officer

Ms. Kalczuk has over 20 years’ experience in public agency media relations, fostering strong relationships between government entities, the media, and the communities they serve. She was hired by the City of Grand Rapids in 2021 to support a cohesive, overarching approach to public safety communications, including police, fire, and emergency management, before transitioning full-time to GRPD as the department’s first civilian PIO. In this role, she manages media requests and proactive outreach; coordinates media interviews for leadership and departmental subject matter experts; manages media briefings; provides interview preparation and media training for command staff; advises department leadership on messaging and overall strategy; and leads the team of back-up (sworn) PIOs. She has served as the PIO during emergency operations center (EOC) activations and multiple critical incidents, including officer-involved shootings, and worked with the Chief’s Office to update the department’s media policy, setting expectations for transparency through the delivery of timely, factual, and relevant information to the Grand Rapids community.

Phil Chalmers, American Profiler

Phil Chalmers is an American Profiler, a true crime writer, and a television personality. He has been studying violent offenders for 40 years and has interviewed well over 1000 convicted killers. He hosted the Dennis Quaid-owned podcast “Where the Bodies Are Buried,” is the author of the landmark book “Inside the Mind of a Teen Killer,” and appeared on the A&E show “Killer Kids.” He will be releasing a hardcover Serial Killer book in the summer of 2025, along with a new killer interview show on TruBlu. His live training is legendary in the law enforcement world, as he travels the US and teaches the law enforcement community how to profile dangerous offenders. He is also touring with his “Serial Killer” book at wineries, breweries, and country clubs. He lives in Sarasota, Florida, with his wife Wendi and his two deaf dogs.

Aaron Eastham, FBI Agent

Agent Eastham has been an agent with the FBI for 7 years, during which time he has worked primarily matters involving Violent Crime Against Children and Human Trafficking. Agent Eastham coordinates the West Michigan Based Child Exploitation and Human Trafficking Task Force (WEBCHEX Task Force) which is comprised of Agents and Detectives from 7 jurisdictions in West Michigan. Agent Eastham has conducted multiple Human Trafficking sting operations, primarily directed at identifying and recovering minors as well as operations targeting adults who are seeking out minors online for the purposes of sex. 

Dennis Potter, MSW, FAAETS, CCISM

Dennis Potter is a social worker who worked within the Network 180 (Community Mental Health) system for over 30 years in a variety of agencies and roles. He helped to form one of the first community-based Crisis Response Teams in Michigan in 1986, the Midwest MI CISM team in 1988, and the Michigan Crisis Response Association in 1988.

Dennis is currently the CEO of Kantu Consultants. He is an Approved Instructor for many of the ICISF Courses and has been a member of the ICISF Faculty since 2006.

In 2011, Dennis was honored with the ICISF Excellence in Training and Educational Award. In 2021, Dennis was given the Grand Rapids Police Department's “Exceptional Civilian Service Award” for 22 years of working with their Peer Program. In 2021, he received the Lifetime Achievement Award from ICISF for his contributions to the field of CISM over the years.


Dennis has presented at many local, state, regional, national, and international conferences. He has been a presenter at the last fourteen International Critical Incident Stress Foundation World Congresses.  He has written articles for various journals on the topic of working with Critical Incident Stress. Dennis coauthored the model for Post Action Staff Suppor,t which is featured in the ICISF Advanced Training Workbook and the book “Practical Concepts and Training Exercises for Crisis Response Teams” with Jim Stevens and Paul LaBerteaux.
