Dr. Linda Nubani is the founder and coordinator of the Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design (CPTED) Program at Michigan State University and serves on the Board of Directors of the U.S. CPTED Association. She holds a PhD in Architecture with a cognate in Criminology from the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor (2006) and is a nationally recognized expert in CPTED.
Dr. Nubani integrates advanced tools such as spatial analysis, visibility mapping, and virtual reality to apply CPTED strategies in neighborhoods and building environments. She currently leads a Byrne Criminal Justice Innovation (BCJI) initiative in partnership with the Detroit Police Department (10th Precinct), funded by the Bureau of Justice Assistance, and is co-PI on a National Science Foundation grant. She has delivered CPTED training and consulting services for police departments, city governments, and community organizations across the country.
