Whether you work in law enforcement, local government, education, nonprofit organizations, private industry, or another field that supports community safety, CPAM provides opportunities to connect with others who share your commitment to crime prevention.

Who Can Become a Member?

CPAM welcomes individuals who have an interest in advancing crime prevention and supporting the Association's mission.

How Membership Works

Membership is currently offered at no cost.


Individuals who attend the annual CPAM Conference automatically receive membership for the following calendar year.


If you are interested in becoming a member outside of the annual conference, you are welcome to submit a membership application for consideration by the Board of Directors.

What We Ask of Our Members

CPAM members are encouraged to:



  • Support the mission and goals of the Association
  • Promote professional excellence in crime prevention
  • Participate in educational and networking opportunities
  • Help strengthen partnerships that improve public safety across Michigan

Honorary Membership

From time to time, CPAM recognizes individuals who have made exceptional contributions to crime prevention, public safety, community policing, or the Association itself through Honorary Membership.


This designation celebrates outstanding service and leadership within the profession.
